Genetic risk for abdominal aortic aneurysm
A genetic study in the Million Veteran Program identified regions associated with abdominal aortic aneurysm and evaluated a polygenic risk score.
A study in Circulation identified genetic regions associated with abdominal aortic aneurysm using Million Veteran Program data and replicated the findings in an independent dataset. The team also evaluated a polygenic risk score associated with aneurysm risk beyond established factors such as smoking and family history. The study population consisted primarily of veterans of European ancestry.
