MGI 2024: Lars Fritsche
In this U-M symposium talk, Lars Fritsche reviews a decade of EHR-linked genetics research, including PheWeb and PRSweb.
Lars discusses how electronic health records can be used to define research phenotypes and how those phenotypes are evaluated in resources such as PheWeb and PRSweb.
The examples show why research with large linked datasets still requires careful phenotype definitions, comparisons across settings, and results that other researchers can inspect. The talk provides background for the lab’s EHR-linked biobank and polygenic risk programs.
